KEEN sessions now running!

Each week of term there are four regular KEEN sessions, why not join us?
 
GrEAT, our social club for over 18s takes place everyMonday evening, usually 7.30-9.30pm, at the St. Clement’s Family Centre. We like to get out and about around Oxford as much as possible, so check the KEEN review or email keen@keenoxford.org, for details of what we’re up to this week!
 
Zig-Zag, our drama workshop for under 18s takes place every Friday at theSt. Clement's Family Centre from 4.45pm until 6pm. The theme for this term is festivals of the world, so come along and join us for some festival fun!
 
KEEN Teens, our social club for 11 to 17 year olds takes place every Friday evening at theSt. Clement's Family Centre from 6.10pm until 7.15pm. KEEN Teens is always a really fun session, so come along and start your weekend off on the right foot!
 
Allsorts, ourSaturdayafternoonsports session and the biggest session of the KEEN week!
The session runs from1.45pm until 5pm at theBlackbird Leys Leisure Centre. Each week we run afree busto take volunteers to the Leisure centre. The bus picks up at 1.10pm outside the Taylorian Institute on St. Giles,1.20pm outside St. Clare's school on the Banbury Road and 1.30pmat the Oxford Brookes Gypsy Lane Campus bus stop.
No sporting ability required, just enthusiasm! Why not come along?
 
Remember volunteering with KEEN is completely non-commitment and there is no experience necessary - just enthusiasm!

KEEN sessions restarting THIS WEEK!

KEEN sessions are restarting this week, there is lots (as usual!) to get involved with. Why not come along?
 
GrEAT, our social club for over 18s will restart on Monday January 18th, with a pub trip to the Red Lion, just off Gloucester Green. As usual the session will run from 7.30pm-9.30pmand as you would expect there will be a pub a quiz – so make sure you bring your thinking caps along!
 
*SPECIAL EVENT*: as is the start of term tradition, on Friday 22nd January we will be going ice skating! If you would like to come along we will be meeting 5.30pm outside McDonalds on the Cornmarket or 5.45pm at the Ice Rink on the Oxpens Road. It should be a really fun session!
 No experience or skating ability required just enthusiasm!
 
Allsorts, our Saturday afternoon sports session and the biggest session of the KEEN week, will restart this Saturday 23rd January at the Blackbird Leys Leisure Centre.
 
The session will run from 2-5pm, and as usual we will be running a free coachto take volunteers all the way there and back again.
 
The coach will pick up at 1.10pm outside the Taylorian on St. Giles (opposite St. John's), from the Banbury Road (outside St. Clare's school) at 1.20pm and then 1.30pm from the Gipsy Lane Campus bus stop at Oxford Brookes. Then we'll bring you back into town by 5.30pm.
 
As always no sporting ability or experience needed just enthusiasm and bags of energy!

KEEN Sessions Restarting Soon!

Sessions will be starting again soon!

KEEN sessions will resume the week beginning January 18th, but if you can’t wait that long to get  your KEEN fix, sign up for swimming on Saturday 16th January.

 

Here’s what we’ve got coming up at KEEN, over the next couple of weeks:

 

*Holiday Activity* Swimming Party! Saturday 16th January, 4-5pm, Ferry Sports Centre.

After the success of last year's swimming party, we have decided to go again! We will be going swimming on Saturday 16th January; the session will run from 4-5pm at the Ferry Sports Centre. I'll send out directions on how to get there, to those who sign up, during the next week. If you would like to come please sign up!

KEEN sessions have finished for the holidays. Sign up for the holiday activities!

KEEN sessions have now finished for the Christmas holidays, regular sessions will resume the week beginning 18th January.

 
To make sure KEEN isn’t missed too much over the vacation, we have a few holiday activities planned.

* Holiday Activity* Trampolining THIS Wednesday, 9th December, 4.50pm-6pm, at the OXSRAD.

On Wednesday 9th December we will be going trampolining at the OXSRAD, on Marsh Lane. The session will run from 4.50pm until 6pm, there will also be a bouncy castle to add to the fun! If you would like to come along please sign up!

 
When you sign up, if you need more details on how to get to the OXSRAD just let me know.
 
 
*Holiday Activity* Carol Singing Thursday 10th December, 4-5pm, the Cornmarket.
 
As has become the KEEN tradition, we will once again be taking to the Cornmarket to sing Christmas Carols. Carol singing will be taking place on Thursday 10th December; we will be accompanied by the Oxford University Brass Band to help us bring some festive spirit to the city centre. We will be meeting at 4pm outside Boots on the Cornmarket. Come along the more the merrier!

Allsorts is STILL ON THIS SATURDAY!

This Saturday (5th December) is the last Allsorts session of term and we need as many people as possible to come along as a number of our regular volunteers will have already left Oxford for the holidays.

As usual we will be doing three fun sporting activities. The session will run from 2 until 5pm at the Blackbird Leys Leisure Centre and as always we will be running a free bus to take volunteers to the leisure centre.

The coach will stop at 1:10pm outside The Taylorian Institute (map) on St Giles (opposite St John's), 1:20pm on the Banbury Road and 1:30pm at the Oxford Brookes Gipsy Lane Campus bus stop. Alternatively you can meet us at the Blackbird Leys Leisure Centre at 1.45pm (map). The coach will bring you back into the city centre for 5:30pm.

No experience or sporting ability required just enthusiasm!
