What is Inclusive Oxfordshire 2030?

Our goal is to ‘Make Oxfordshire the easiest place in the UK for disabled people and their families to access what they need and be included’.

Underpinning this goal are two action areas:

  1. Inclusive Oxfordshire partnership

All about building a shared vision of what an inclusive Oxfordshire would look like, holding a commitment to making a stronger landscape of services for disabled people, and working collaboratively together taking on key projects. Phase 1 projects include physical activity, information sharing and accessible information.

  1. Wider work with organisations

Influencing and supporting organisations more broadly through a roadmap to inclusion and by providing the resources for all organisations to make the adjustments that include disabled people.

The launch

On the 7th July 2021 over 20 organisations across the county came together to celebrate the launch of Inclusive Oxfordshire. We introduced our goals and proposed starting points, before looking at why Inclusive Oxfordshire is needed. Partners on the call took part in an interactive quiz prompting discussion around what Oxfordshire could do better.
