What happens at Zig-Zag?
Every Zig-Zag term follows a different theme, covering anything from myths and legends to Hollywood blockbusters.
Children are paired up on a one-to-one basis with a volunteer and together they explore the next part of the story or quest each week.
Sessions begin with a game of Duck-Duck-Goose while children and Session Coaches are paired up.
Session Leaders are kitted out in costumes to bring parts of the story and new characters to life, and the Zig-Zag Coordinator leads that evening's activities, from arts and craft challenges to treasure hunts.
What are the benefits?
Zig-Zag is a place where magic happens! Children get to take part in new adventures, make new friends, get creative and let their imaginations run wild!
Paired on a one-to-one basis with our volunteers, they benefit from personalised and direct support throughout the session, enabling them to make new interactions and build rapports with them and their peers alike.
